Man is seeking damages after he fell in a hole at a shopping center

NEW ORLEANS – A man is seeking damages following a fall at a shopping plaza, claiming it was due to a dangerous situation.

Paul Eugene Sr. filed a complaint on Dec. 10 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against PMAT Algiers Plaza LLC, Property One Inc., N3 Property Advisors LLC, and Starr Indemnity & Liability Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Dec. 12, 2017 when the plaintiff was a customer at the defendant's. The defendant allegedly was negligent through failing to cover a hole on the ground, and the plaintiff was caused to trip and fall in the hole, which resulted in the plaintiff being injured.

The defendant is accused of negligence and failing to take the appropriate actions to prevent injury.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Craig Ley Becker of Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel Julien.
