GRETNA – A man is seeking damages after his car was struck by a police officer's vehicle.

Sean Tasker filed a complaint on Dec. 26 in the 24th Judicial District Court against the City of Kenner Police Department, Alexander Urbina and Imperial Fire and Casualty Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Dec. 24, 2017 when the plaintiff was struck by a Kenner Police Department vehicle. The plaintiff alleges that the crash was not due in any part to his operation of the vehicle and that it was completely due to the fault of the police officer, which failed to keep a lookout and drive responsibly.

The defendant is accused of negligence and reckless driving.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Donald Hodge Jr. in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.
