Plaintiff claims Progressive Security Insurance Co. has not paid settlement

GRETNA – A man is seeking damages, alleging he has not received a settlement for a car crash.

Danny Jones filed a complaint on Jan. 21 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Auto Club Inter-Insurance Exchange.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was in a car crash on May 11, 2018, in which he was injured. On July 27, 2018, the plaintiff allegedly entered a settlement agreement with Progressive Security Insurance Co. for $15,000. The defendant has, however, allegedly failed to make timely payments to the plaintiff.

The defendant is accused of negligence and reckless driving.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by J. Casey Cowley in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald Rowan Jr.
