GRETNA – An electrical contractor alleges a roofing company caused property damage due to improper roofing procedures.
Electrical Concepts Contractors Inc., James Leak and Connie Leak filed a complaint on Jan. 25 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Riverside Roofing Inc.
According to the complaint, on Jan. 29, 2018, the plaintiffs discovered the defendant had allegedly been negligent in securing the roof of a property during a roof-replacement process, causing a building to suffer from water damage. The plaintiffs were caused to suffer damages due to the alleged negligence of the defendant. The defendant is accused of negligence and failure to prevent an incident from taking place.
The plaintiffs are seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Michael Mahone Jr. of The Mahone Firm LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen Enright Jr.
