University of New Orleans seeks damages from former student

GRETNA – A university is seeking more than $2,700 on an open account from a former student.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors filed a complaint through University of New Orleans against Shayne M. Rollins on Jan. 28 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff states that the defendant has failed to pay off an open account for the total of $2,749.54 plus interest.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors is represented by Kaila M. Hutchison of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.


The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
