OneMain Financial files complaint alleging $6,000 debt

GRETNA – A finance group is seeking more than $6,000 in sums due against a man it says failed to pay off his balance.

OneMain Financial Group LLC, successor by merger to OneMain Financial of Louisiana Inc., filed a complaint against Philip Waguespack on Feb. 12 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff states that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of $6,203.51 plus interest. The suit states that despite amicable demand, the defendant remains negligent.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Naomi A. Cohen Ivker of Zarzaur & Schwartz PC in Birmingham, Ala.


The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A Rowan.
