Velocity Investments sues woman for breach of contract, seeks $22,500 in damages

GRETNA – An investment company is seeking more than $22,000 from a woman it claims breached a legal contract.

Velocity Investments LLC, assignee of Lending Club Corporation, filed a complaint against Heather Darling on Feb. 12 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff states that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of $22,495.23 plus interest on a contract between the parties. The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account and breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jason B. Patrick of Rausch Sturm in Birmingham, Ala.


The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn B. Ansardi.
