Lawsuit seeks $98,500 on an outstanding mortgage loan

GRETNA – A mortgage company is seeking more than $98,000 from a woman on an unpaid balance.

First Guaranty Mortgage Corporation filed a complaint against Laquenta C. Hill on Feb. 5 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an executory process.

The suit states that the defendant has been negligent in making payments on an account, leaving her indebted for $98,493.68 plus interest for the payments missed. The defendant is accused of sums due on an executory process.


First Guaranty Mortgage is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Kristy Massey Finley of Dean Morris LLC in Monroe.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
