Lawsuit claims school district neglected $54,000 balance due

NEW ORLEANS – A construction company is seeking damages for more than $53,000 in sums due on an open account.

Materials Management Group Inc. filed a complaint against Recovery School District on Feb 12 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff states that the defendant has neglected to pay its balance of $53,874.76 for services rendered, plus interest. The plaintiff claims it completed work for which it was contracted and that the defendant failed to pay.

Materials Management Group seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Robert C. Lehman of the Law Offices of Robert C. Lehman LLC in Mandeville.


The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
