OneMain Financial claims customer owes more than $5,000

NEW ORLEANS – OneMain Financial Group is seeking more than $5,000 on an open account, claiming that a customer has failed to pay off the balance due.

The financial institution, successor by merger to Springleaf Financial Services of Louisiana Inc., as servicer for ASF Wilmington Trust, as issuer loan trustee for Springleaf Funding Trust 2015-A, filed a complaint against Jonathan A. Gibson on Feb. 19 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff states that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of $5,373.86 plus interest on an open account. The defendant has been made amicable demand, the bank claims, but to no avail.

OneMain Financial seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Naomi A. Cohen Ivker in Zarzaur & Schwarz in Birmingham, Ala.


The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
