Woman claims K-mart's negligence led to her being injured in a fall

GRETNA — A woman is seeking damages after slipping and falling in a K-Mart.

Lenda Henderson filed a complaint on Feb. 26 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Kmart Corp.

According to the complaint, Henderson is seeking damages for an incident that took place on March 9, 2018, when she was walking toward the women's clothing section in a K-Mart store, slipped on a substance that was slippery and fell, causing physical damages.

The defendant is accused of negligence and failing to prevent an incident from taking place.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. She is represented by Scot P. Koloski of Mike Brandner Injury Attorneys in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen Grefer.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 792524.
