GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages, alleging she was caused to slip and fall at a Budget Saver.
Karen Lewis filed a complaint Feb. 26 in the 24th Judicial District Court against SLFM Inc., d/b/a Budget Saver.
According to the complaint, Lewis is seeking damages for an incident that took place Oct. 21, 2018, when she was at the Budget Saver at the 6488 Westbank Expressway in Marrero. She allegedly slipped and fell on a clear liquid substance that was left on the ground, resulting in injuries.
The defendant is accused of negligence and failure to prevent an incident from taking place.
he plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. She is represented by Pierre Gaudin of Gaudin and Gaudin in Gretna.
The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
