The Zoo Health Club patron claims he was injured when weight machine broke

GRETNA – A man is seeking damages claiming that he was injured while at a gym.

Jose A. Aviles filed a complaint on Feb. 27 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Twenty6Fitness LLC, dba The Zoo Health Club; John Doe; and ABC Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on March 1, 2018, when the plaintiff was working out at The Zoo Health Club in Kenner. The suit states that the cable on the defendant's weight machine broke, striking him on the head and body, resulting in injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Cesar Vazquez of the Vazquez Law Firm in Kenner.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen Enright Jr.
