Avant Garde Homeowners' Association alleges residents incorrectly installed patio

GRETNA – A Kenner homeowners' association alleges a patio was incorrectly installed on a property subject to its regulations.

Avant Garde Homeowners' Association Inc. filed a complaint on Feb. 28 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Houston Thibodeaux and Barbara Thibodeaux.

According to the complaint, the defendants own a Kenner property and are obliged to comply with the by-laws of the plaintiff's association, rules and regulations. The plaintiff alleges the defendants incorrectly installed a patio enclosure that violates regulations.

The plaintiff is seeking a judgment from the court for the defendants to comply with the association's regulations and rules.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Ashley L. Belleau of Lugenbuhl, Wheaton, Peck, Rankin & Hubbard in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.
