Shopper alleges pallet on floor of Sam's Club caused her to fall

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish woman alleges she was injured at a Metairie warehouse club because a pallet left on the floor caused her to fall.

Christlyn Davis filed a complaint on March 6 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Walmart Inc., doing business as Sam's Club.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges on June 14, 2018, she was shopping at the Sam's Club in Metairie and was caused to trip and fall because of a piece of wooden pallet left on the floor. She alleges she sustained significant injuries as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to property maintain its premises and failed to adequately inspect the property.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by John D. Sileo and Casey W. Moll in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.
