GRETNA – A man is suing a casino after he allegedly was caused to trip and fall over a hazard.
John Corcoran filed a complaint on Aug. 6 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Treasure Chest Casino LLC.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on March 18, 2018, when the plaintiff was a patron at the defendant's facility. The suit states the plaintiff was caused to trip over a hazard on his way out of the defendant's property, resulting in injury to the plaintiff.
The defendant is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Mark Tauzier of Yeager, Lanasa, Tauzier LLC in Metairie.
The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee Faulkner Jr.
