GRETNA – A service provider is suing a client alleging that their contractual agreement was breached.
Innovative Service Providers LLC (ISP) filed a complaint on April 1 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Nola Hospitality LLC DBD Wyndham Garden New Orleans Airport, Cornesha Thompson and Karen Chokr DBA K.C. Staffing Solutions LLC. According to the complaint, the plaintiff was to recruit and hire employees to be assigned to the defendant's hotel.
The suit states that the defendants agreed to an hourly fee. The defendant Thompson, on Feb. 19, 2019, met with the other defendants and had all of the employees who were working with ISP switch to working for KC, which constitutes a breach of the agreement. Additionally, ISP is seeking payment for the loss of earnings due to the defendant's breach, which totals $21,923.82 plus interest.
The defendant is accused of sums due and breach of contract. The plaintiff, seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs, is represented by Stephen P. Bruno of Bruno & Bruno LLP in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.
