Leaky roof leads to misrepresentation claim in lawsuit

GRETNA – A condo association is suing a construction company, alleging that the work they paid for was done poorly.

4101 Florida Condominium Association Inc. filed a complaint on April 1 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Gerardo Gallardo, GSG Renovations & Repair LLC, Western World Insurance Company and 4M General Construction LLC. According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages alleging that the defendants were fraudulent in their representations of work potential, claiming that they were licensed to do work that they were in reality not licensed to do. 

The defendants, who were in charge of installing roofs, did so negligently, resulting in roofs that leaked. Despite demands that the errors be remedied, the defendant has failed to do so, The defendant is accused of negligent misrepresentation and negligence.


The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Stephen K. Conroy of Conroy Law Firm PLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
