A licensed practical nurse claims she wasn't properly paid for her work by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Yolanda Brown filed her complaint against the VA in federal court.
According to the complaint, Brown was reassigned to a non-exempt position of Advanced Medical Support Assistant at an agreed salary of $52,590. However, from October 2020 until now, she alleges the VA has failed to pay her at the agreed rate for her work hours, including overtime.
Despite notifying the VA about the pay discrepancy on several occasions and receiving acknowledgment from several employees that an error had been made, Brown says no correction has been made to her pay.
