A Louisiana man says the Ram 1500 he purchased was defective.

Juan Canales filed his lawsuit in federal court against FCA US LLC, the manufacturer of Dodge vehicles about a 2023 Ram 1500 truck he purchased.

According to the complaint, Canales bought the vehicle from All Star Dodge in Denham Springs on June 5, 2023. He claims the truck's engine and electrical system had significant defects that rendered it useless, and he says these issues were present at the time of purchase. The total price of the vehicle, including fees and charges, was $63,466.16.

Despite delivering the vehicle to All Star Dodge for repairs in June 2023, Canales says the truck has not been returned to him as of the date of filing. He is seeking damages under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and Redhibition.
