Leviathan Offshore sues Baker Marine Solutions for breach of contract

In the United States District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana, Leviathan Offshore, LLC has filed a lawsuit against Baker Marine Solutions, LLC for breach of contract. The case was filed on April 15, 2024, under the court case ID 2:24-cv-00938-EEF-KWR.

Leviathan Offshore alleges that Baker Marine failed to fulfill its contractual obligations to provide underwater inspection services at platforms operated by two of Leviathan’s clients, W&T Offshore, Inc. and Petrofac, Inc. The plaintiff asserts that Baker Marine failed to inspect ten platforms operated by Petrofac and withheld inspection reports for the W&T project until it received payment for the unrelated and unperformed Petrofac work.

The plaintiff claims that these breaches have caused significant damage and seeks compensation. The damages are said to exceed $75,000, exclusive of interest and costs.
