NEW ORLEANS – A St. John the Baptist Parish man who worked for Deepwater Horizon claims center has pleaded guilty to defrauding his former employer of $257,400. Charlie English III, 33, of St. John the Baptist Parish, pleaded guilty to wire fraud last week for providing fraudulent documentation to support a a false claim showing he had decreased income due to the 2010 Gulf oil spill. NEW ORLEANS – Two weeks after a man serving time in prison on fraud charges was accused of defrauding the Deepwater Horizon claims center of $3 million, the law firm representing him has withdrawn as his counsel.
