The Varsity Theatre
BATON ROUGE – A man is suing a bar and two men after he was allegedly attacked at an entertainment venue.
Patrick Cavanaugh filed suit against Barco Enterprises, Inc., Reneau V. Londot and an unknown defendant in the 19th Judicial Court on Oct. 19.
Barco Enterprises, Inc. owns and operates The Varsity Theatre. On Oct. 22, 2011, the plaintiff was at The Varsity Theatre where he claims either Londot or the unnamed defendant touched his date inappropriately. Londot and the unknown defendant are accused of causing injuries more extensive and pervasive than intended, failing to keep their physical attack under proper control, physically attacking the plaintiff in a wanton and reckless manner and striking the plaintiff in such a way that caused him to fall down stairs.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for injuries to his brain, neck, head, face and head, physical pain and suffering, mental anguish, pain and distress, lost wages, medical expenses, residual disability and loss of enjoyment of life.
The plaintiff is represented by Dustin G. Flint of Baton Rouge-based Williamson, Fontenot and Campbell, LLC.
