NEW ORLEANS – A local gas station is being sued sued by a man who claims he was injured in a trip and fall at its premises.
Troy Reimonenq Toliver filed suit against Lavigne Baker Petroleum, LLC in the Orleans Parish District Court on June 1.
Toliver claims she suffered severe injuries causing prolonged pain and suffering as a result of a fall suffered at a Shell Station owned by the defendant on April 6.
The plaintiff alleges that Lavigne Baker Petroleum was at fault for gross and wanton negligence in not repairing a cracked or uneven floor tile.
Toliver’s injuries allegedly range from lumbosacral pain, right knee pain, right forearm pain, right wrist and thumb pain, embarrassment, and mental anguish.
The defendant is accused of negligence and denies all allegations.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for prolonged pain and suffering resulting from a fall occurring on the premises of the defendant business.

The case has been assigned to Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
