GRETNA – A community college is seeking damages, claiming that a former student did not pay her student loan.
Louisiana Community and Technical College System, through Nunez Community College, filed a suit against Latasha Johnson in the 24th Judicial District Court on June 3.
According to the claim, the defendant was enrolled at Nunez Community College for the Spring 2014 semester. The suit states that the defendant failed to pay for those services.
The defendant is accused of open account.
The plaintiff is seeking $2,822 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Rokeya J. Morris of the Louisiana Department of Justice. The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle M. Taylor.
