IberiaBank alleges money is owed on promissory note

GRETNA – A Lafayette Parish bank alleges that two customers failed to make installment payments as outlined in a promissory note.

IberiaBank filed a suit against Roeling George Mace Jr. and Jeanne Monte in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 27.

According to the claim, the defendants executed a promissory note in January 2007 payable to the plaintiff for an amount of more than $350,000. The suit states the despite the obligation to pay the plaintiff, the defendants have failed to pay the installment payments since July 2011.

The plaintiff is seeking the principal in the amount of $24,062.50, interest in the amount of $19,292.80 and late fees in the amount of $550. The plaintiff is represented by Robert A. Mathis of Newman, Mathis, Brady and Spedale of Metairie. The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
