NEW ORLEANS — A community college is seeking damages after a student allegedly failed to pay for the privilege of attending the college.
The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a suit against Jefferi Darryl Kelson in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 25.
According to the claim, the plaintiff delivered services to the defendant for a fee of more than $1,600. The suit states that while the defendant was a student at the college, the defendant failed to make payments for the services delivered.
The defendant is accused of open account through failing to pay for the services rendered.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Rokeya J. Morris.
The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
