American Amphibious Equipment alleged to have defaulted on credit card

GRETNA – A bank is seeking damages for an allegedly open credit card account.

Whitney Bank filed a suit against American Amphibious Equipment and Rental Inc. and Perry J. Autin in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 3.

According to the claim, the defendants had been issued a credit card by the plaintiff on Sept. 30, 2009. The suit states that the defendant has failed to make payments for the balance accumulated since 2015, which is more than $5,000.

The defendant is accused of open account through failing to make payments on the credit card.

The plaintiff is seeking $5,836.46 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by John Dale Powers of Powers, Sellers & Chapoton in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
