Casino seeks $95,000 in outstanding debt from a patron

NEW ORLEANS – A casino is seeking damages of more than $90,000 from a patron.

Jazz Casino Company LLC, doing business as Harrah's New Orleans, filed suit against Richard R. Harmon in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Aug. 16.

According to the claim, the plaintiff executed a credit agreement with the defendant for $100,000. The suit states that the defendant has not paid for $95,000 of the fees that are owed to the plaintiff.

The defendant is accused of open account with the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Karen M. Dicke.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Regina Bartholomew Woods.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court case number 16-8215.
