Company alleges homeowners refused to allow it to complete work

NEW ORLEANS – A contracting group is seeking damages for alleged breach of contract from a Jefferson Parish couple.

Augustino Bros. Inc. filed a suit against B. Scott Landry and Barbara Landry in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on May 23.

According to the claim, the plaintiff and defendants entered into an agreement for remodeling to the defendants' New Orleans property in August 2015. The suit states that despite receiving the approval from the defendants' insurer to go ahead with the work, the defendants refused to allow the plaintiff to complete the work.

The defendants are accused of breach of contract for failing to give approval for the work in the contract.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. It is represented by Bradford H. Walker, J. Michael Daly Jr. and Daniel R. Hynes of Walker Daly in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
