Ceco Concrete Constructions seeks payment for work done on medical center project

NEW ORLEANS – An East Baton Rouge Parish construction company alleges it was not paid in full for a project.

Ceco Concrete Construction LLC filed a suit against Federal Insurance Co., The Continental Insurance Co., Fidelity and Deposit Co. of Maryland, Zurich American Insurance Co. and Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Oct. 28.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was subcontracted by Skanska MAPP to complete certain duties on a medical center project in 2012. The suit states that despite completing what it was contracted to do, the plaintiff has still not been paid in full. The defendants were sureties for the project, the suit states.

The plaintiff is seeking $68,891.18 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Scott C. Barney, John F. Olinde and Mary W. Dale of Chaffe McCall in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 16-10708.
