CP Marine Services claims it was not paid for all the scrap metal it delivered

NEW ORLEANS – A Jefferson Parish company is seeking more than $123,000 for scrap metal.

CP Marine Services LLC filed a suit against Southern Recycling LLC in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 15.

According to the claim, the plaintiff delivered scrap metal to the defendant in June that it estimated to weigh 900 gross tons. The suit states that the defendant did not pay it for roughly 500 gross tons and alleges it is owed more than $123,000.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. It is represented by Robert J. Diliberto, Damon A. Kirin and William J. Jung of Diliberto & Kirin LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
