Lowe's shopper alleges foot, back was injured by fencing boards

GRETNA – A man claims that fencing boards fell on him at a home improvement store and caused him injuries.

Joseph Laventure filed a suit against Lowe's Home Centers LLC and XYZ insurance company in the 24th Judicial District Court on Nov. 23.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a guest at the Lowe's located on Manhattan Boulevard when the incident occurred on Nov. 24, 2015. The suit states that the plaintiff was injured when some fence boards fell on his right foot and back.

Lowe's Home Centers is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. He is represented by Joseph R. McMahon III of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.
