American Express Bank claims customer owes more than $31,000

NEW ORLEANS – American Express is seeking more than $31,000 from an Orleans Parish customer.

American Express Centurion Bank filed a suit against Christian Nice in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 17.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a credit card to the defendant. The suit states that the defendant failed to pay off more than $31,000 accumulated on the card.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $31,890.49 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Bradley J. Chauvin, Benjamin G. Lambert, Sarena Y. Gaylor, Remy F. Symons, Elizabeth L. Hyman, Jeremy L. Nusloch and Randall C. Roth of Couch, Conville & Blitt in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
