NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that a doctor failed to perform a surgery.
Joan Zaslow filed a suit against N. Knight Worley M.D. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 15.
According to the claim, the plaintiff went to the defendant for the removal of dysplasia from her tongue in 2014 using laser surgery. The suit states that the plaintiff became aware of the fact, following the defendant's treatment, that the dysplasia had not been removed. The plaintiff was required to visit another doctor in 2015 for a more invasive surgery in order to have completed what the defendant ought to have the first time.
The defendant is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. She is represented by Joseph M. Bruno and Melissa A. DeBarbieris of Bruno and Bruno in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
