NEW ORLEANS – A construction company is seeking more than $7 million for work it completed on a project.
Ronald Franks Construction Co. filed a suit against Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. of America in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 15.
According to the claim, the plaintiff completed work that they were subcontracted to do. The suit states that the contractor failed to pay the plaintiff for the work and that the defendant is a payment bond surety for the project.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract.
The plaintiff is seeking $7, 787,772.04 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Daniel Lund III, Stuart G. Richeson, Imtiaz A. Siddiqui and Gillian B. Gibbs of Coats Rose in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Paula A. Brown.
