GRETNA – A Mississippi man is seeking damages after a collision in Jefferson Parish.
Vernell Collins filed a suit against National Liability & Fire Insurance Co., West Jefferson Medical Center, West Jefferson Holdings LLC and Matthew Outlaw in the 24th Judicial District Court on Nov. 28.
According to the claim, the plaintiff was a passenger in a car on Dec. 23, 2015, when the incident occurred on Lapalco Boulevard. The suit states that the car that the plaintiff was in was struck by the West Jefferson Medical Center/West Jefferson Holdings LLC's vehicle from the rear, which was driven by Outlaw.
The defendants are accused of negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by James H. Minge of James H. Minge & Associates in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
