Financial company alleges unpaid installment contract

GRETNA – A financial corporation is suing two customers, alleging nearly $18,000 in unpaid fees.

Ally Financial Inc filed a suit against Jessica R. Slowey and Zachary T. Laborde in the 24th Judicial District Court on Dec. 27.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is the holder of a retain installment contract which was signed by the defendants June 7, 2014. The suit states the defendants are obligated to pay $29,229.60 through monthly installments; However, the lawsuit states, the defendants have failed to make all payments on time, resulting in $17,826.24 in late charges and unpaid installments.

The defendant is accused of failing to pay the plaintiff in a timely manner.

Ally Financial seeks $17,826.24 from the defendant in addition to interest accrued. The plaintiff is represented by attorneys Arthur S. Mann III, Earl F. Sundmaker III and Gregory J. Walsh of The Sundmaker Firm LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.
