Bank alleges customer owes more than $3,000 in credit card payments

NEW ORLEANS – A bank is suing an Orleans Parish woman, alleging more than $3,000 owed for overdue credit card payments.

Department Stores National Bank filed a lawsuit Jan. 3 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Sheila T. Torrengano, alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, Torrengano has become indebted to the plaintiff for $3,164.63 on a Macy's credit card. The plaintiff seeks payment of the sums due.

Department Stores National Bank seeks the money owed, reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by the firm of Zarzaur & Schwartz P.C. in Birmingham, Alabama.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Melvin Zeno.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 17-16.
