Mortgage company seeks full payment of retail installment contract

GRETNA – A mortgage corporation is suing a customer, alleging failure to pay more than $34,000.  

21st Mortgage Corporation filed a suit Feb. 8 against Comelda A. Wright in 24th Judicial District Court, alleging failure to pay sums due.

According to the claim, 21st Mortgage issued Wright a retail installment contract and security agreement. The lawsuit says the agreement stated Wright was to pay off the balance of $42,509.03. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay off all sums due and is still indebted to the plaintiff for $34,521.99, plus interest.

21s Mortgage seeks all sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorney Karen E. Trevathan of Trevathan Law Firm APLC in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
