A man has sued his employer after he was injured while working aboard a vessel on the Mississippi River.

Prince Adrenfriend Woullard filed his complaint in federal court against Jantran Inc..

According to the complaint, Woullard was working aboard the M/V Mary Parker on June 10, 2023, when the ladder he was using gave way, causing him to fall violently onto the deck of the ship.

He says his injuries were caused by Jantran's negligence in providing a safe work environment and proper equipment. The complaint also claims Jantran required Woullard to work in unsafe conditions and with inadequate supervision.

In addition to physical injuries to his wrists and an exacerbated back injury, Woullard says he suffered mental injury as a result of the accident. He is seeking damages for past, present, and future medical expenses, physical pain and suffering, mental and emotional pain and suffering, lost wages and loss of earning capacity, loss of enjoyment of life, disability and other damages.
