William Neubauer, and wife Jane, filed suit against Cascade Stables Inc. on April 13 in Orleans Parish District Court. BATON ROUGE – An East Baton Rouge woman is suing a medical center claiming it failed to properly care for her now deceased mother. Denise Allen James filed suit against Nexion Health at New Iberia South Incorporated in the 19th Judicial District Court on April 14. According to court records, James’ mother Beatrice Allen was admitted to Nexion Health at New Iberia South Inc., on March 8, 2012.

Chili’s sued after chair leg allegedly punctures, injures woman’s foot
GRETNA – A franchise restaurant is being sued by a man who claims a defective chair resulted in its leg puncturing her foot. Ronin-Lynn Disler filed suit against Brinker Louisiana Inc., Chili’s Grill and Bar and their insurer in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 6. Disler contends she was a customer at Chili’s Grill and Bar located at 1741 Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey when a chair leg, which did not have safety cap, punctured her foot.

GRETNA – A local hospital and doctor are being sued by a woman who claims they negligently left permanent stitches in her following a surgery that were not discovered until nearly there years later and required subsequent surgery to remove.
