Ory claims that on May 4, 2014 he was riding his bicycle on West Esplanade Ave. in Metairie when Ismael drove his taxi cab out of a driveway, striking him in the process.

GRETNA – Jefferson Parish is being sued by a construction foreman who was allegedly seriously injured after a manhole hatch slammed on his head causing him to fall 30 feet down a manhole. Shane Salathe filed suit against The Parish of Jefferson, through the Department of Sewerage, in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 1. Salathe alleges he was working as a foreman for Fleming Construction Company on a contract with Jefferson Parish to repair lift stations.

Claims Consulting and Contracting LLC filed suit against Eugene Pizani and Tammy Pizani in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 1. Claims Consulting and Contracting says it provided $5,249.04 in repair work to the Pizanis for fire damage that occurred to their home at 3844 Jamie Lynn Drive in Marrero.

Brothers Veterans LLC filed suit against American Zurich Insurance Company in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 27. Brothers Veterans asserts it is the owner of a gas station located at 6600 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie that was covered by a property insurance policy provided by American Zurich Insurance Company.
