Ship owner sues, alleging repair services were never rendered

The owner of a ship is suing the people entrusted to repair it, since he claims no repairs have been done since the ship was delivered in 2006. Russell Morris Dallen Jr. filed a complaint on June 29 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Maritime Systems Inc., doing business as GulfSouth Yacht Works, and Bill Dupuy.

A LaFourche Parish resident filed suit against his employers following a 2014 pump room accident after the employer allegedly refused full medical coverage. Juan Johnson sued St. James Stevedoring Partners LLC of St. James Parish, Associated Terminals LLC of St. John the Baptist Parish, and Archer-Daniels-Midland Co., doing business in Jefferson Parish, in the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Louisiana on June 30.
